Sonam is high on first box-office hit
Sonam Kapoor took quite a while to bag a hit. And now that I Hate Luv Storys has finally got her box-office success, the actress can’t wait for the release of Aisha, opposite Abhay Deol, which is also incidentally a home production.
Ask her how different it was working with Imran and Abhay, and pat comes the reply, “Imran is hot and cool, while Abhay is very simple. It was my first working experience with both of them. Imran has this dashing personality, while Abhay, I’ve always believed, is the arty type, who dabbles in ‘different’ cinema. I had a few apprehensions before I started working with him. But gradually, as we got to know each other, I realised that we actually share similar tastes. We both think alike, which makes our likes and dislikes almost the same. Like me Abhay too is a complete foodie, and he is always up to some mischief. But we share a great rapport.”
However, there was a buzz that Sonam and Abhay had a lot of creative differences during the making of the film. But the actress is quick to explain her stance. “Yes, at times you do have creative differences on the sets. The film has an ensemble cast. But we never had any fights as such. In fact Abhay was very protective about me. I enjoyed working with him. And I am also planning another film with him,” she says. But Sonam wouldn’t let out any details. “It’s too early for that. But I’ll let you know soon,” she signs off.
