A squabble over stubble?

Last year, director Shaad Ali had signed Ranvir Singh to play the lead role in his film Kill Dil. According to our sources, the film’s shooting, which was supposed to start mid-2013 has been pushed to later this year due to Ranvir’s look.

The actor who has let his hair down (quite literally) for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Ram Leela won’t be able to sport a clean-shaven look until SLB gives him the nod. Final bits of Ram Leela are yet to be shot and since the clean look is a prerequisite for Kill Dil, Shaad has no option but to wait for Ranvir to pay a visit to the barber shop. It’s not just Shaad. Even Vikramaditya Motwane had a tough time trying to get Ranvir’s dates and look right for Lootera.
Ranvir’s spokesperson however said, “I don’t think there is a delay. Ranvir is shooting for Ram Leela and Gundey simultaneously as both the films require the same look. Kill Dil will go on floors in December and Shaad was aware of this.”
