Sridevi scares young Bollywood

This one is being called the mother of comebacks — Sridevi is poised to return to the big screen with English Vinglish in September. But there is trouble in paradise, with several current leading ladies of B-town arriving with their own releases in the same month.
“So far September seems to be the month of heroine-driven films, with Kareena’s Heroine, Rani Mukherjee’s Aiiyya and Bipasha Basu’s Raaz 3 locking horns with each other. Now with Sridevi too joining the bandwagon a few other filmmakers are contemplating changing their release dates,” says a trade insider.
Preity Zinta’s Isshq in Paris is nearing its completion and she too wants to release her film in September. “But now with someone as senior and still so popular as Sridevi, Preity too is rethinking, because some recalculations are required,” adds the trade insider.
Now that’s what we call a masterstroke. Well done, Sridevi!
