SRK supports expression of freedom
Shah Rukh Khan, who is producing a youth-oriented film like Always Kabhi Kabhi, doesn’t have any issues with quirky lyrics from songs like Mutton from Luv Ka The End or Bhaag D.K. Bose from Delhi Belly. He quite likes them and is happy that writers are expressing themselves quite freely these days. Though the actor maintains that there are times when he refrains from using certain words because they may not be appropriate for children.
“Some words can be offensive and derogatory. Recently, in Berlin, we were listening to a song and I found it very enjoyable, but one couldn’t sing it aloud because of the lyrics. I am very happy with the freedom of expression that the young directors, music directors, lyric writers are bringing to Indian cinema,” he says. Having said that, Shah Rukh laughs, “Karma is a b****h is something I would really like to hear.”
