Suit up, Mr India
Despite having been in the industry for three decades now, Anil Kapoor exudes a youthful vibe. But it’s not just his looks and personality that the actor has managed to maintain for two decades — it’s his wardrobe too. We recently learnt that he has managed to maintain his clothes as well as other artifacts and memorabilia for over 20 years. That is probably why producer Manmohan Shetty turned to him while setting up his studio-cum-museum.
“Mr Shetty has earlier approached Boney for props and costumes, but he didn't have any. But Boney was confident that I'd have some stuff from Mr India and hence directed him towards me,” says Anil.
Apparently it took the actor all of ten minutes to pull out his Mr India suit from the closet — after about two decades. “I even had the little broach I’d worn in the film,” he announces proudly.
Anil reveals that he has retained small artifacts that he used in his various films such as Woh Saat Din, Virasat and many more. “I’m not obsessed,” he laughs, adding, “It’s just that those little things remind me of the good times I've had.”
