Sushant backs Ankita

Sushant Singh Rajput, who has made a successful transition from television to films, feels that the industry is still not ready to accept TV actors. And that’s the reason why he says, his girlfriend Ankita Lokhande lost out on Farah Khan’s Happy New Year.

“I am one of the lucky few who managed to change the image I had on television. But it is sad how some filmmakers treat TV artistes. On a positive note, I feel things are changing. I got to experiment a lot right in my first year in the film industry. So I am sure things will change for TV actors as the industry is slowly becoming more receptive. As for Ankita, now she is all set to enter the industry and I look forward to sharing screen space with her as my leading lady. She is talented and there is no reason why she can’t do well on the big screen,” he says.
