Sushant strikes again

This one’s got to be one of the most surprise replacements ever. Hrithik Roshan, who for the longest time was the prime contender for Shekhar Kapur’s Paani, will no longer feature in the film. The mantle has been passed on to Sushant Singh Rajput instead.
“This is very surprising since till just a few months ago it was only Hrithik who was being considered. And once Yash Raj Films came into the picture, it appeared that the trio would make a deadly combination on screen,” says a source.
However, doubts started to creep in when Hrithik got heavily involved with Krrish 3 and then started work on Bang Bang and allotted dates for Shuddhi. Now there seems to be a twist in the tale with YRF’s new blue-eyed boy Sushant bagging the role.
“As the chances of Hrithik doing the film were fading, YRF and Shekhar were looking for other options. The need of the hour was a talented actor with a relatively free calendar. After the success of Shuddh Desi Romance, the deal was sealed for Sushant,” adds the source.
