Team Lagaan back again?

Everybody knows how success breeds alliances in Bollywood, be it a hit pair of the lead actors, or actor-director or director-producer. So it’s surprising how, despite making a cult hit like Lagaan, Aamir Khan and Ashutosh Gowariker have subsequently gone their own ways. But before we start speculating about whether or not something went wrong between the two,
Aamir promptly clarifies, “Of course Ashutosh and I will work together— there are no two ways about it. He is very talented and the day he has a script for me, and it excites him as much as it excites me, we will go ahead with it.” When quizzed if he has a script for Aamir, Ashutosh says, “I cannot devise a script thinking I will make the film for Aamir. If I do that, then I’ll curb my creativity. I think I should only approach him with a role that suits him; I am very keen to work with Aamir but I need to impress him with a script first.”
