Is there war in Japan?
The Shah Rukh-Salman war seems to have transcended domestic boundaries with both Om Shanti Om and Ek Tha Tiger releasing in Japan. Several conspiracy theories are floating around about how their rivalry is taking new proportions.
On their part though, Eros, who has produced Om Shanti Om, has released an official statement which pretty much negates the possibility of foul play. Their spokesperson said, “We continue to make inroads into new markets internationally for Indian films. In fact, Ra.One and Om Shanti Om were sold to Japan in December 2011 itself and we planned the release of these films in a phased manner with Ra.One releasing last year followed by OSO’s release now, the date of which was locked a few months ago.”
An industry insider says, “Eros has already released Rajinikanth’s Robot and Sivaji in Japan. It’s silly to even think that the release of OSO has anything to do with Salman. Everyone has there own place in the industry.” So then why do these star wars keeps happening?
