Akshaye Khanna, among the industry’s most talented actors, is a bitter, bitter man. Without a film, let alone a hit, for the longest time, Akshaye, say our sources, has taken it personally.
Currently shooting for Gali Gali Mein Chor Hai, Akshaye was asked about Bollywood’s penchant with sequels, when the actor said it’s a “foolish trend”. It seems not having landed a role in Abbas-Mustan’s Race 2 may have had something to do with this. “Akshaye had a good role in the original Race, and was hoping he would be cast in the sequel as well. The ouster has left him bitter,” says our source. “Race 2 is a big film, and missing out on it has bruised his fragile ego.”
