From thriller to romance

They are usually associated with thrillers. Films like Baazigar, Humraaz, Aitraaz and Race have been some of their best known works. But after more than two decades in the film industry, director duo Abbas-Mustan is gearing up to take on a genre that is completely new to them — romance. They won’t divulge much about the film, but are confident of pulling it off, from what we hear.

“They’ve never really explored the genre. They have had romantic bits in their film, but this is the first time that they are making an all-out romantic film. They are working on the details, but the film will go on floors only next year,” says a source close to the directors.
The star cast of the film is yet to be finalised and that is why the two have been tight-lipped about the project.
