Tiger shows his stripes

When Jackie Shroff’s son Tiger decided to work in Bollywood, he had plenty of interested filmmakers offering him projects.

But while everyone expected someone like Subhash Ghai (who launched Jackie in B’wood) or Aamir Khan (with whom Tiger shares a warm equation) to be the ones whose production houses would sign on Tiger for his debut film, it is some unusual names that have actually emerged: The interested parties are Farhan Akhtar and Sajid Nadiadwala.
“Farhan had Tiger in mind for Reema Kagti’s next, while Sajid was also wanting to cast Tiger for a film with Sabbir Khan. After speaking to his father, Tiger decided to sign on with Sajid,” a trade source tells us.
Incidentally, Sajid has never launched an actor before. He says, “I have always worked with superstars. Now the intent is to create a superstar.”
