Tobacco is no problem
Kangna Ranaut and her unconventional ways are not new to the industry. While the rest of the country is supporting the ban on tobacco, Bollywood, with it’s disclaimers in place, has continued to portray the use of tobacco on screen to add more realism to the characters. Kangna has been no exception.
Word is that the actress plays a courtesan in Vishwas Patil’s Rajjo and needs to have tobacco stains on her teeth to make her character seem more authentic. “It’s the demand of the role. That particular look will be used for a few scenes only,” says a source close to the film. But there was a lot of convincing to do, as Kangna was reluctant at first. “It took more than ten days to convince her that her tobacco stained look won’t send out the wrong message,” the source adds.
