True love happens only once: Saif
Hit the iron when it’s hot — this is the maxim Saif Ali Khan seems to be following these days. The man, who is riding high after the much-needed success of Cocktail, is going all out to cash in on his reel romantic hero image in real life too.
At a recent press conference, Saif was heard talking about love. He did everything in his might to make the scribes and aam janta present there believe that for him love means something eternal. He also said that true love is based on true friendship and that it doesn’t happen again and again.
A look at Saif’s romantic records will make his claims seem rather odd. Saif, who was married to Amrita Singh for 12 years, claimed to be good friends with her. But on the other hand, Kareena Kapoor, who he will soon get married to, was always much more than a good friend. A director, who does not wish to be named, says, “For Saif and Kareena, it was all about love and attraction. They played a couple in Tashan and have been together ever since. I don’t remember them being ‘just friends’ ever.â€
So maybe Saif’s profound philosophy is, after all, a post-release campaign for Cocktail.
