Truth as told by a Crook
Neha Sharma’s pursuit in showbiz has taken her places, literally. And this latest entrant in Bollywood hopes to make Mumbai her home. The actress is now looking forward to her debut release Crook: It’s Good to be Bad that hits the theatres today. The film deals with the issues of racism in the backdrop of Australia.
As a former student of Canada, Neha too had to face instances of being made to feel like an outsider. “I won’t say it’s a regular occurrence but I won’t deny that there are some people who discriminate.”
When asked, if there was any tension in Melbourne during the shoot, she says, “We were not allowed to shoot in some particular locations. The apprehension rose when the authorities got wind of the subject and probably felt that it will hurt the reputation of the country. But the movie doesn’t take sides. It simply narrates the truth and conveys the message in a highly entertaining manner,” she says with a tone of assurance.
