She excels in playing feisty characters on screen. But in real life too, Anushka Sharma recently proved that she’s got plenty of grit. The actress, who has been suffering from a fit of food poisoning, had a series of promotional events lined up for the week. A thorough professional, Anushka ensured that she fulfilled them despite being indisposed.

But it was her recent stage performance at an awards event that really proved just how dedicated Anushka is. Apparently, one of the segments required Anushaka to pay a tribute to the late Yash Chopra, and an aerial routine was choreographed for the same. “Anushka has been running a high temperature and generally feeling very weak. The act required her to wear a long gown and perform while being suspended from a harness. It requires a lot of stamina,” a source from the organisers’ team told us.
Anushka was adamant about going ahead with the complicated routine despite her poor health — probably because as a YRF protégé, the tribute was a special one for her indeed. And she managed to pull it off with grace and élan. Attagirl, Anushka!
