Very special birthday

Filmmaker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra brought in his 50th birthday with someone special indeed. Mehra, in London for a special screening of his film, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, was surprised to see Jeev Singh — the son of Milkha Singh — waiting for him outside the preview venue with his family. Apparently Jeev and Milkha had planned the surprise for Mehra as a token of their appreciation. They thought the Singh family must show their love and support for Mehra by celebrating his birthday. Jeev flew in from Paris just for this and the evening culminated in a small party. Also present at the celebration were P.S. Bharathi (editor, Rang de Basanti), Milkha’s daughter Soniya, and his grandchildren.
