Vidya’s gift to Ma and Paa

Vidya Balan seems to be on a do-good trip. After endorsing Sleep Awareness and becoming the new brand ambassador for the energy-conservation initiative, 60+ Earth Hour, the actress has now given her parents a gift that has made them immeasurably happy.
The actress will finally be seen in a Malayalam film, which is her mothertongue. “I am acting in Urumi, a Santosh Sivan film. Initially, I was only supposed to do a song for it, but he requested me to do a few scenes as well and I couldn’t refuse him,” she says.
And Vidya’s family is elated. “My parents felt really happy as it has always been their dream to see me in Malayalam film. So I can say this is the best gift I have given them,” she adds.
