Vidya-Ekta third innings

After their successful stint together in The Dirty Picture, Ekta Kapoor and Vidya Balan will once again come together for Pritish Nandy’s Shaadi Ke Side Effects, which Ekta will co-produce. “I know this film will be a winner. It was my bond with Vidya that prompted the merger again,” says Ekta. Since director Saket Chaudhury and Nandy wanted the protagonists Farhan Akhtar and Vidya to get comfortable with each other before starting work together, the two are busy taking workshops before the shooting begins. Pritish Nandy too is ecstatic about the development of his big venture. “I place all my bets on Farhan. After Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, he is the one to watch out for. And what can I say about Vidya? She is a dream to work with.” After Bhool Bhulaiya and The Dirty Picture, this is Ekta’s third film with Vidya. “Though an actor and actress play an equal role in the success of a film, I wouldn’t think twice before saying that Vidya has the potential to pull off a film all by herself. She is an inspiration to many,” adds a smitten Ekta. The film will go on the floors at the end of this month.
