Vidya just wants to sleep

Vidya Balan, basking in the glory of Kahaani and The Dirty Picture, says she is content taking a leisurely vacation for now and has no plans of rushing back to face the camera anytime soon. Vidya currently has no films in hand. She has signed the comic-thriller Ghanchakkar, but filming for it will begin only in June. “I will just sleep for one to one-and-a-half months now. Then I will see what to do next,” she says.
And if not for sleeping away her well-earned vacation, Vidya has been attending award ceremonies and promoting film festivals. The actress was recently named as the brand ambassador of the Indian Film Festival in Melbourne, Australia. “The festival has done a lot to spread the word about the vibrancy of Indian cinema in Australia. It not only showcases the best of Indian cinema but also provides a platform for young upcoming filmmakers,” she says, giving her reasons for agreeing to promote the fest.
