Vidya succumbs to love?

It’s no news that Vidya Balan has become extremely selective about her films post the The Dirty Picture’s success. The actress is undoubtedly in a happy place now and is being considered one of the most bankable stars in the industry. That’s the reason why, it came as a surprise to many, when she went ahead and signed her next film opposite Emraan Hashmi, when she could have easily chosen to work with the top three Khans.
Emraan, despite his positive box-office record, is yet to qualify among the crème of the industry. But that didn’t stop Vidya from signing Ghanchakkar with him. However, if rumours are to be believed, then there is more to this kahaani than meets the eye. Apparently, Vidya’s decision has been influenced by her beau Siddharth Roy Kapur, whose production house UTV is making the film. People close to the actress are denying such allegations. “I don’t think Vidya is the type who will mix the personal with the professional. She doesn’t get influenced that way,” says a friend of the actress.
In the meanwhile, Ghanchakkar director Rajkumar Gupta is only too glad to be working with Vidya again after No One Killed Jessica. “She was my first choice for the role and Emraan I will be working with for the first time. I feel he is one of the most bankable actors today,” he says.
Let’s see if her bargain to choose Emraan over the Khans pays off!
