Vikram holds erotica in reserve
All of the media’s attention may be focused on his upcoming film with Karisma Kapoor, Dangerous Ishq. But Vikram Bhatt has quietly been involved with another film as well. And while he has asserted that Dangerous Ishq has no “eroticism” in it, his other film, Hate Story, certainly makes up for the lack
“This is a quickie film for Vikram,” says an eminent trade analyst on condition of anonymity. “The posters are out and they are risqué enough to whip up a controversy.”
Directed by Vivek Agnihotri, the film’s quest to push the envelope when it comes to erotica has received an impetus in the form of leading lady Paoli Dam, who created waves with her bold role in a recent Bengali film.
The buzz also is that Vikram invested a bare five or six months in the making of the film, understandable, considering that Dangerous Ishq is his big ticket film as of now, what with a planned outing at the prestigious Cannes film festival.
“The posters feature a topless woman, presumably Paoli, with a message tattooed across her back and a gun tucked into her waistband, straddling a man,” our source added. “It’s bound to raise lots of questions.”
