Vivek is a man of his word

Vivek Oberoi makes it a point to live up to his commitments — even if it costs a bomb. Vivek was supposed to attend an award ceremony on Tuesday at one of Mumbai’s suburban hotels and confirmed his presence for the event.

But the actor got busy campaigning for the ongoing elections in Gujarat and lost track of time. That would mean that he wouldn’t be able to make it in time for the event, had he relied on his regular flight. But Vivek being a man of his word, did not stall his plans. He managed to get the officials in Gujarat to offer him a chartered plane to fly back to Mumbai.
“The amount of money splurged on arranging chartered planes for actors and their entourage is a costly affair. Its silly to spend that much money. It makes sense to pay that much and get another actor of the same level,” says our source. Now that’s not our call to take.
