Vivek refuses to become diplomatic
He might have the reputation of moving around with both his feet in his mouth, something that may have played a role in Vivek Oberoi’s infamous fall from grace, but the actor says he has learnt his lessons.
Having said that though, Vivek, who’s trying to mount a return from obscurity, still hasn’t become diplomatic though. He was last heard taking potshots at Salman Khan, comparing his upcoming film Sher with Salman’s Ek Tha Tiger.
Salman, who has had a history with Vivek, didn’t take too kindly to this barb. But Vivek says it’s the way he has always been, and diplomacy isn’t really his thing. “I keep hearing stories about me having mellowed down, but I ask ‘When was I ever brash?’,” he says.
It’s not brashness or attitude that’s the problem, Vivek clarifies, rather the honesty in his approach. “I still call a spade a spade, and that has always been and will remain the case.”
Reminding people that he has survived all the controversies purely on talent, Vivek says, “Not mincing my words has been a trait that I was born with. And it’s not about to change anytime soon,” he says proudly.
Sure, we agree with him. And will conveniently forget his animosity with Salman and the mother of all fallouts that he had with filmmaker Aditya Chopra.
