Vivek’s got a Taurani mentor

Even as the Taurani brothers are engaged in their rather public battle with Deepika Padukone over Race 2, there is one B’towner who is firmly in the Taurani camp. With Kumar Taurani making it his mission to rescue Vivek Oberoi’s career from the skids, the actor will express nothing but gratitude for the producer.

After their previous venture Prince had a middling commercial reception at the box office, Kumar wants Vivek to star in his next film as well. “It’s not a sequel to Prince. It’s a completely different subject, and I’m working on the script with Vivek,” the producer says.
This will be Vivek’s first solo film after Prince, and he has busy with ensemble projects like Krrish 2 and Zilla Ghaziabad in the interim. “I don’t think anyone doubts Vivek’s potential,” his spokesperson said, when asked if Kumar Taurani was indeed taking a personal interest in the actor’s career. “All he needs is a good script.”
