Wanted in a negative role for the first time
It is a known fact that Salman Khan is taking a keen interest in his home production Dabanng. The film is going to be his brother Arbaaz Khan’s first production venture and big-bro Salman wants to leave no stone unturned to make sure that Arbaaz has a perfect debut.
Sources say, “Ever since Wanted became a blockbuster hit, Salman Khan has been wanting to do a hard core action movie. He loved the script written by director Abhinav Kashyap and wanted Dabanng to be a full-on action film with slick action sequences that would be better than Wanted.”
Buzz is that about five lengthy action scenes including the climax, which lasts upto 20 minutes, were devised especially by Salman himself, in collaboration with action director S. Vijayan, who had also done the stunts for Wanted. These scenes are going to be the highlight of the film and have been shot over a period of 60 days. Salman’s brief to the action director was to make the action scenes bigger and better.
Even Sohail Khan feels that his brother puts his 100 per cent in a film. He is very keen about action scenes, and since Dabanng has a lot of it, he too wants to try something he has never done before. “Dabanng, which means a fearless cop is an apt title for my brother,” says Sohail, adding, “The film will see Salman as a corrupt police officer and he will be mouthing heavy dialogues. This is the first time he’ll play a negative role. This image is a total contrast to the role he played in Garv.”
