Wax and wane?

Her Diwali may have been spent in London, unveiling her wax statue at Madame Tussauds, but Kareena Kapoor certainly isn’t complaining. And why not? After Bodyguard’s record box office collections, Ra.One seems all set to follow suit, and in the meantime, there is her much talked about exhibit to show off. After requesting a postponement in the unveiling so that beau Saif could be at her side, Bebo finally went ahead with the event on her own.
Bebo says, “Yes, it was a big day for me, when I stood by my wax self at Madam Tussauds. It was also a huge honour, and a moment of pride for Indian cinema as well.”
Of course, there have been the usual criticisms of her wax statue not being quite pretty and glamorous as Bebo in the person, but the diva herself rates the figure quite highly. “I think they’ve done a superb job of capturing my essence,” she enthuses. “The figure looks incredible and is so life-like; I had to do a double take when I saw ‘myself’.”
Well Bebo, it’s great to see you in such a happy phase of your life! We hope it continues for a nice, long time.
