What Paris, Prateik have in common

Some actors perform havans, others fast while still others visit holy shrines — all to ensure their next film is a hit at the box office. But trust 24-year-old Prateik to do things differently. The actor has taken a vow of celibacy to ensure that his upcoming project with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, My Friend Pinto, has a good reception from the audience and critics. “I want My Friend Pinto to work because it’s my first solo film,” says Prateik, adding that he’s looking at the time before the film’s release as a “test”. “Hopefully, I won’t fail. I’m quite God-fearing and I believe in karma,” he says.
Prateik’s declaration may come as a surprise to many industrywallahs who’ve pegged the lad as something of a Casanova. But if Paris Hilton can do it, Prateik can too, right? And if Prateik’s method works, then you can bet Bollywood will be going in for mass celibacy!
