The shooting of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Ram Leela is on in full swing and the team has been working hard to meet their deadlines. But it’s probably Deepika Padukone who has been working the hardest. The actress has been juggling the shoots for Ram Leela with a round of promotional activities for Race 2, and sustained a nasty injury.

Deepika had to dance barefoot on an open ground in Film City for a song from Ram Leela, and has been rehearsing for the past few days for the same, a unit member told us. “But while giving her final take, she slipped and fell to the ground, spraining her ankle in the process. She also sustained a few cuts,” our source shares.
Despite her injury, Dippy convinced SLB to carry on with the shoot and finished her sequence for the song. “She was administered first aid and felt a lot better but dancing was still clearly quite a task for her,” our source added.
As soon as the shoot was wrapped up, the actress was rushed to her home in the suburbs of Mumbai and advised to take rest for a few days. But Deepika has refused to take a break. “She called SLB and assured that she is well. She has asked him to continue with the remainder of the shoot,” our source says. Such dedication!
