Sonakshi Sinha’s always shared a great rapport with Farah Khan and hubby Shirish Kunder. Perhaps that was the reason why Sona was the leading contender for Farah’s ambitious new project Happy New Year. And the role opposite Shah Rukh Khan might have been in the bag too — except for some differences which have now cropped up between Farah and Sona.
“No one knows what the issue is between them,” a source close to the two women told us, speculating that the way Sona skipped out on promoting Shirish’s Joker might have had something to do with her imminent “ouster”. Apparently, Sona’s loss will prove to be Parineeti Chopra’s gain, as Farah is now considering her for HNY.
“Yes, Farah does love the spirit Parineeti has as an actress. She feels it might be interesting to pair Pari and SRK together,” our source shared. Farah herself hasn’t confirmed these latest happenings, but she isn’t denying the possibility either. So who will celebrate a happy new year? Sona or Pari?
