Why Akki worked on his vacation

Akshay Kumar’s vacations with family are generally considered sacrosanct, and work isn’t allowed to intrude. But on his recent holiday in the US, Akki did make an exception and promoted and dubbed for his film, Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobaara.
A source said, “Work is out of bounds for Akki when he’s vacationing, but he’s so excited about OUATIMD that when director Milan Luthria flew to New York to get Akki to do a voice-over for the film’s new trailer, he immediately agreed.” The decision to use Akki’s voice in OUATIMD’s new trailer was an impromptu one. When Milan explained how a voice over would establish the hero versus villain tussle in the film, Akki readily dubbed. “The Balaji team hired a sound studio in Manhattan close to Plaza Apartments, where Akshay was staying,” our source added.
