Why is Deepika missing in action?

Deepika’s prolonged absence hasn’t gone unnoticed. Especially at the IPL stands, where a lonely Siddhartha Mallya continues to cheer his team without any arm candy by his side. Deepika has a pile of projects lined up in the near future, as has been the case always. But now that her love life is pretty much non-existent, one wonders what has made her go underground all of a sudden.

An industry observer says, “It’s been six months since Desi Boyz, her last release and she is not being seen in the IPL matches either. In fact, all these months, if at all she was in the news, it was for the wrong reasons, with Rana being shelved and then her flip-flop around Race 2.” While her counterparts Sonakshi Sinha, Anushka Sharma, Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra are finding one way or the other to stay in the news, Dippy seems to be fleeing in the opposite direction.
Sources close to the actress maintain that it’s her work alone that’s been keeping her busy. “She has just wrapped up Cocktail and she has also been travelling for Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. Now she is back again to work in the Rajinikanth-starrer Kochadaiyaan. And add to all these, her endorsements are always there,” says a source.
