Why PC won’t talk

After finding herself in the midst of a storm regarding her comments on starting the “trend” of Bollywood actresses winning National Awards, Priyanka Chopra is ensuring that she’s extra careful in her statements. So even though she’s been signed on for Apoorva Lakhia’s Zanjeer, she’s not parting with too much information about it. “I’d rather wait for the filmmakers to make an official announcement before I comment,” says PC.
However, it may not be mere pragmatism that’s holding PC in check. “After all, she has expressed disdain for other colleagues who’ve gone to town with the details of their latest assignments, only to have those very projects handed over to another actress. Surely, Priyanka doesn’t want to find herself in the same situation,” an industry source says.
