Will Chennai Express steamroll John’s film?

With Chennai Express continuing its high-powered run at the box office even three weeks after its release, it seems John Abraham is fretting about the promotions for Madras Café. John and his team had an SOS meeting to re-strategise their film’s publicity, our sources tell us. Increasing the buzz around the film is priority.

“Not just Madras Café, even Prakash Jha’s Satyagraha, despite its powerful star cast, has been feeling the pressure. Aggressive promotion is the name of the game today. Gone is the time when the promotional appearances for a film would begin 10 days before it was due for release. Already, there’s another film gearing up to get into the promotions madness — Zanjeer,” said a trade expert.
In the meantime, John is busy with his publicity plans. The actor-producer intends to go all out to create the requir-ed buzz aro-und his dream project.
