Zarine’s flying high

Much before she became an actress, Zarine Khan had dreams of flying her own craft. It was a pilot Zarine aspired to be, instead of pouting in front of the camera. But financial constraints made Zarine defer her dream. Now, with Bollywood success beckoning, Zarine is again trying to set those dreams into motion and is on the verge of signing up for a formal aviation training course in Australia.
The gal’s already found out all the course details and is making arrangements to pay the fees. “Zarine had to put her plans on hold because her mother was unwell and needed surgery. But now that she has the chance, she’s gung ho about fulfilling her plans,” a friend of the actress tells us.
“Acting will always be my profession, but I don’t want to miss out on the opportunity to fulfil my true ambition,” Zarine divulged. Well, now she certainly has the time and money to do so.
If Zarine successfully completes her course, she will be among an elite group of celebrities who fly their own planes. John Travolta, Tom Cruise, Morgan Freeman, Hillary Swank and Angelina Jolie are all licensed pilots, while Gisele Bundchen is studying to be a helicopter pilot.
