CMIE pegs GDP growth at 9.2%
The economy is set to clock a 9.2 per cent growth this fiscal on the back of a robust 5.8 per cent spike in agriculture and allied sectors, as well as a good show by industrial, services and manufacturing sectors, the economic think-tank CMIE said here on Thursday.
“We expect gross domestic product to grow by 9.2 per cent in 2010-11 compared to a 7.4 per cent in 2009-10,” the institute said in its report on the state of the economy. This projection is one per cent higher than RBI projection and 0.7 per cent higher than the government’s. — PTI
