This Facebook app helps you to save blushes
Kochi: Having a crush on someone, and wondering whether the other side too shares the same feelings? Many a love in colleges had not blossomed, fearing a negative response. But technology will now be the facilitator.
A team of student entrepreneurs at the Startup Village here has come up with a Facebook app that will connect both parties only if both are favourably inclined.
The app “crushmycrush,” developed by CIED Technologies, a company run by students from Rajagiri College of Engineering, MG University College and FISAT, is turning out to be a hit. It can be downloaded from apps.facebook.com/ crushmycrush.
Company CEO Akash Mathew told DC it all started when some friends one day discussed this age-old dilemma and wanted to see what the new age technology could do about it.
“The user of this app can secretly save the names of those on whom they have a crush. No publishing, no tagging, no messages. When anyone in your crush list saves you in their crush list, both of you will get a notification saying, “You have got a crush match”, and then it will take you to a page with a beautiful image of both of you.
This list is safe and secret.”Another feature of this app is, when there is a clash of multiple crushes, it calculates the priority and will send the match notification to only the best couple. Akash said this was developed as a fun app and was absolutely free. “We released the app on February 23. There already are 700 users, and 100 of them have succeeded in getting a matching crush as well.”
