RBI reference rates for US dollar, euro

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Wednesday fixed the reference rate for the US dollar at 45.3695 and the euro at 65.3355, as against 45.2490 per dollar and 65.0620 per euro on Tuesday.

In a press release issued by the RBI, the exchange rates for the pound and yen against the rupee were quoted at 74.5580 per pound and 59.17 per 100 yen, based on reference rates for the US dollar and cross-currency quotes at noon.

The reference rate is based on the noon rates of select banks in Mumbai and the SDR-Rupee rate would be based on this rate, the release added.
