Rolls Royce eyes Indian affluent class
Chennai: Luxury carmaker Rolls Royce Motor Cars is eyeing the nouveau-rich segment, especially in non-metros, to drive its growth in the Indian market. The firm is expected to be out with its exclusive India edition models sometime next year.“India is a massive market with diverse expectations. So we want this special edition to be a perfect blend of what India represents with more than three colours,” said Herfried Hasenoehrl, general manager (GM) emerging markets (Asia), Rolls Royce Motor Cars, who is currently on a three-month India tour to familiarise its latest model, Wraith, to Indian customers.“Our competition is not with other luxury car models but it is with makers of yachts, private jets, super-luxury villas etc who eat up our revenue spend among the super-rich customers,” he added.
