SAIL’s Q4 net surges by 40%
The net profit of SAIL jumped by 40 per cent for the fourth quarter due to better realisation on pick-up in demand.
The company posted a net profit of Rs 2,085 crore and sales turnover of Rs 11,955 crore during the quarter.
“Improved sales realisation during the quarter and reduction in the cost of some inputs such as imported coking coal and ferro-alloys also boosted the bottomline,” said SAIL chairman, Mr S.K. Roongta.
There was also an increase of 37 per cent in the production of value-added steel by the company.
