Stocks down in opening trade of special session
The BSE benchmark Sensex on Saturday fell by over 20 points in the opening of the special trading session as investors booked profits.
The 30-share barometer fell by 20.12 points to 15,847.61. The Sensex had lost over 25 points in previous session.
Similarly, the wide-based National Stock Exchange Nifty index moved down by 8.30 points to 4,745.80 points.
The market is open for one hour special trading from 11:15 am to 12:45 on Saturday to update bourses' software infrastructure.
