Toyota to launch Etios hatchback in India in April 2011

Japanese automaker Toyota Motor Corporation will launch its Etios hatchback in India in April 2011, a company executive said on Wednesday, marking its first entry into the Indian mass market.

The company plans to sell 70,000 units of the Etios sedan and hatchback in India in 2011, said Sandeep Singh, deputy managing director of Toyota Kirloskar, a joint venture between the Japanese carmaker and the Kirloskar group.
