Voith celebrates 25 years of its Hyderabad production site

Recently, Voith Group of Companies celebrated the 25th anniversary of its Voith production site in Hyderabad.

The celebration event was kick started in the presence of Dr. Hubert Lienhard, President and CEO of the Corporate Board of Management of Voith GmbH, Mr. Carsten J. Reinhardt, Member of the Corporate Board of Management of Voith GmbH and President and CEO of Voith Turbo GmbH & Co. KG, and other senior officials.

The production site of Voith in Hyderabad, which was set up in 1987, has its own modern foundry, manufacturing and testing facilities. Voith in Hyderabad has been producing hydrodynamic couplings for material handling systems in power stations and mines. Recently, the company started production of servomotors, hydrodynamic retarders and components of Scharfenberg couplers for domestic as well as export market.

Voith regards India as one of the promising growth regions and important markets on the globe. The company has been present here since 1911 and is represented through its markets energy, oil & gas, paper, raw materials and transport & automotive. Voith technologies are used in key points along value-added chains that could be unable to function without Voith plants, systems, components or maintenance services.

Today, Voith couplings regulate pumps or fans in more than 90 percent of Indian thermal power plants for instance. Other recent milestones of significance are projects such as metro rail projects in New Delhi, Bangalore and Jaipur or the commissioning of Voith banknote paper machines which will altogether be able to meet the current demand for banknotes in India.
