Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi could be officially declared as the BJP’s PM candidate after the Assembly polls in five states.

Infighting, factionalism and undercurrent have hit the BJP hard in the key states of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, say sources.

J&K chief minister Omar Abdullah said in Srinagar that the creation of Telangana state would incentivise agitation. “It is fine that you have to create Telangana, but don’t do it piecemeal.
