A city court handed down life imprisonment to a 50-year-old man after observing that he committed a “diabolic and barbaric” crime by sexually assaulting his minor niece, allowing others to gangrape her and forcing her into prostitution.

The CBI on Saturday booked Rajiv Lochan, deputy chief security officer of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and owner of a private company for their alleged role in irregularities committed in awarding contract related to the installation of security equipment at the prestigious medical institute.
