Bestselling author Dick Francis dies

LONDON,BRITISH THRILLER writer Dick Francis, who started his literary career after a very successful one as a horse jockey, passed away on Sunday. He was 89 years old and died of “old age.”
He died at his home is Grand Cayman in Caribbean, his family said in a statement. He is survived by his sons, Merrick and Felix, five grandchildren and one great grandson. He has written 42 thrillers and most of them were translated into numerous languages and were on the bestselling lists.
“My brother, Merrick, and I are, of course devastated by the loss of our father, but we rejoice in having been the sons of such an extraordinary man. We share in the joy that he brought to so many over such a long life,” his son Felix, with whom Dick wrote his last four novels, said in a statement.
