The fate of DMK MP Kanimozhi, charge sheeted by the CBI for her alleged role in the 2G spectrum case along with former telecom minister A. Raja, is to be decided today by a Delhi court.

Welcoming the arrest of DMK MP Kanimozhi in the 2G spectrum allocation case, the BJP on Friday said this was possible only because the case was monitored by the Supreme Court and demanded that it also oversees cases related to corruption in Commonwealth Games.

DMK MP Kanimozhi was on Friday lodged in a 15x10 ft cell at the Tihar Jail after being sent there for her role in the 2G spectrum case, far from the air-conditioning and other comforts which she is used to at herpalatial bungalow in Chennai's CIT colony.

Janata Party chief Subramanian Swamy on Wednesday told a Delhi court that his private complaint in the 2G spectrum case, touching the issue of national security, should be heard separately as the CBI is not willing to club his complaint with its Fir in the scam.

In a sort of anti-climax, a special court today prolonged the suspense on the bail application of DMK MP Kanimozhi in the 2G spectrum case by deferring the pronouncement of its order till May 20.

A Delhi court on Saturday cited "paucity of time" as the reason for deferring pronouncement of the order on the bail plea of DMK MP Kanimozhi who faces possible arrest in the 2G scam.

It was a relaxed Kanimozhi, the DMK parliamentarian, who left the special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court on Saturday after it deferred verdict on her bail plea in the 2G spectrum case till May 20.

A day after her father M. Karunanidhi's DMK lost power in Tamil Nadu, a court here will pronounce its verdict on Saturday on the bail plea of Rajya Sabha member Kanimozhi, named by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) as a co-accused in the 2G spectrum case.
