A bomb exploded on Wednesday during a military parade in north-western Iran, killing at least nine people, state media reported.

The governor of the Iraqi district of Niniveh survived an assassination attempt in the city of Mosul on Sunday, but two other people were killed in the explosions and nine others injured, police said.
