The police have registered a case of culpable homicide not amounting to murder against the owner of an east Delhi building which collapsed killing over 60 people.

The Delhi government on Tuesday announced an ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakh each to the families of those killed and Rs. 1 lakh to those injured in the east Delhi building collapse.

Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Tuesday met the injured survivors of the east Delhi building collapse at a hospital here and asked authorities to take adequate measures to help the affected.
