Fifty one members of the first batch of Kailash Mansarovar pilgrims crossed over to Tibet today from 17,500 feet high Lipulekh Pass in Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand, ITBP and Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam (KMVN) sources said.

China is making special efforts to improve facilities for pilgrims undertaking the Kailash Manasarovar Yatra which has completed 30 years, External Affairs Minister S. M. Krishna said on Thursday.
